Combining the awesome influential power of a music genre and professional athletes with agriculture to have a sustained positive impact on socially disadvantaged youth and their communities.
The Hip Hop Farmers Youth Initiative (HHFYI) is an urban and rural agriculture project to train primarily socially disadvantaged youth to start a business in producing specialty crops as well as other related non-production enterprises such as food hubs, processing facilities, farmer’s markets, dry storage and cold storage facilities. This Initiative will also focus on training veterans, faith-based organizations, and community-based organizations. The immediate goal and positive impact of HHFYI will be jobs and economic stimulus in persistent poverty-stricken communities.
